  • Synopsis

“Many Catholics feel secretly guilty about the fact that they struggle with the Rosary. In this practical and contemplative book, Madeleine Carroll helps young people engage with the Rosary from an early age. With the help of reflections, illustrations, and an abundance of Scriptural material, Madeleine beautifully shows how this powerful Marian prayer is rooted not in mindless repetition but in loving meditation on the mysteries of Christ's life.”

    –Clement Harrold
    Columnist for The Catholic Herald

For many Catholics, the Rosary can feel repetitive or confusing. They might have a hard time staying focused. They may have learned the prayers but not know the meaning or how to bring it into their life in a real way. Designed for youth ages 10 and up, A Young Catholic’s Guide to the Rosary helps young Catholics not only learn how to pray the Rosary but experience it in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and personal. Inspired by the format of The Rosary in a Year podcast, this full-color prayer book builds a foundation for a lifelong love for this powerful devotion. Young Catholics (and adults, too!) will learn to enter into meditation with the Rosary through:

    • Insights into why and how to pray based on the chart-topping podcast The Rosary in a Year (with Fr. Mark-Mary Ames, CFR).

    • Imaginative retellings of the mysteries of the Rosary and artwork to spark reflection.

    • Thoughtful explanations and quotes from the saints that deepen understanding of the mysteries.

    • A Bible verse for each Our Father and Hail Mary to prayerfully connect the Rosary to God’s Word.

    • Complete instructions and all the prayers of the Rosary to build confidence in prayer time.

With space to write prayer intentions and practical guidance throughout, this is more than a prayer book. It is a companion for building a habit of prayer and helping young Catholics grow in relationship with Jesus through Mary.

A Perfect Christmas Book

I'm always on the hunt for beautiful Christmas books for my children and this one is wonderful. I particularly like how the muted colours fill the pages and give a greatness to the sky behind Ephraim.

The story is a clever combination of two Bible stories, and for little ones it's a perfect story of God's love.

I'm very pleased to add this to our Christmas collection!

I cannot wait for my kids to see it

Just want to say I received this beautiful book today - not only did I cry at how beautiful it was I cannot wait for my kids to see it (it is being saved for Easter Sunday!) I’d say it’s most suited to 6 and under but I’m going to order one for each teacher at my son's school when I can afford to also. Madeleine Carroll this is stunning work

These illustrations are beautiful and the story is short, but still engaging to our little ones

These illustrations are beautiful and the story is short, but still engaging to our little ones. The image of The Last Supper got me especially right now with no masses available due to covid. God bless all these artists who do work for the glory of God.

Amazing Book to discover nature with my child

"I bought this for my toddler who loves books and loves being read to. The theme is captivating and engaging, and the pictures are beautifully matched to the words.

We counted squirrels and talked about the rainbow and the stream. I could see my toddler's thought processes as she imagined the smells and the sounds and I'm really pleased that the book gave us so much to talk about and think about together.

It's thoroughly engaging and worth every penny, and even has a list of activities to do at the end.

Highly recommended."
