Do you want your child to sing but don’t know where to start?

Does your child enjoy music and need some inspiration to sing?

Whether your child has been singing for years, or not at all, Children’s First Chants will help them grow in their love for sacred music!

Produced by Pueri Publications, Children’s First Chants is a practical, self-teaching book that enables children (7+) to learn a simple repertoire of Gregorian chants for Holy Mass and various well-known prayers. It contains a fully functional battery-operated piano keyboard that is integrated into the book, with simple instructions on how to read and play a selection of 12 Gregorian melodies on color-coded piano keys that match each Gregorian note.

Printed on 400 gsm thick paper board, it is suitable for young children. All translations of the Latin texts are provided in an appendix.

St Augustine said that ‘he who sings well, prays twice’ – is there a better way to help children to pray than by teaching them to sing the Liturgy, to sing their prayers, to sing 'Hosanna to the Son of David’?

    Chants your child will learn:

    For Mass:
    Amen
    Et Cum Spiritu Tuo
    Preface Dialogue
    Kyrie
    Sanctus
    Agnus Dei

    Devotional Use:
    Grace Before Meals
    Christus Vincit
    Gloria Patri
    Pater Noster
    Sub Tuum
    Veni Creator Spiritus

A Perfect Christmas Book

I'm always on the hunt for beautiful Christmas books for my children and this one is wonderful. I particularly like how the muted colours fill the pages and give a greatness to the sky behind Ephraim.

The story is a clever combination of two Bible stories, and for little ones it's a perfect story of God's love.

I'm very pleased to add this to our Christmas collection!

I cannot wait for my kids to see it

Just want to say I received this beautiful book today - not only did I cry at how beautiful it was I cannot wait for my kids to see it (it is being saved for Easter Sunday!) I’d say it’s most suited to 6 and under but I’m going to order one for each teacher at my son's school when I can afford to also. Madeleine Carroll this is stunning work

These illustrations are beautiful and the story is short, but still engaging to our little ones

These illustrations are beautiful and the story is short, but still engaging to our little ones. The image of The Last Supper got me especially right now with no masses available due to covid. God bless all these artists who do work for the glory of God.

Amazing Book to discover nature with my child

"I bought this for my toddler who loves books and loves being read to. The theme is captivating and engaging, and the pictures are beautifully matched to the words.

We counted squirrels and talked about the rainbow and the stream. I could see my toddler's thought processes as she imagined the smells and the sounds and I'm really pleased that the book gave us so much to talk about and think about together.

It's thoroughly engaging and worth every penny, and even has a list of activities to do at the end.

Highly recommended."
